Audio recording unreliable.

I love the ability to listen back to the recording, however, I've found that this is unreliable. - Sometimes the different speakers will have an echo in the playback
- I've notice on a few occasions, 'Notes' say I've said something when it's clearly another speaker when reviewing the recording
- There was a section in a recording where my mic dropped out but the other speakers were still responding to what I've said, which suggests I was saying something in the call and Shadow failed to pick it up

Hi Jay. I don't remember changing my input source, but it's possible that my Mac was doing something unexpected. I haven't noticed it except for that one occasion so it may be an outlier.

Hey Hamish,
Thank you for reporting the issue! As a matter of fact, these are known issues.
Shadow merges mic audio and system audio to ensure the best transcription quality across any device setup. However, your mic audio may sometimes pick up sound from the speakers. While Shadow works to suppress this overlap, the solution isn’t perfect yet. We’re actively working on improving it, but for now, it’s the best approach we’ve been able to implement. We really appreciate your understanding and patience as we continue to make things better!
By the way, regarding the section where Shadow failed to pick up your audio—was there any chance you changed the input source during the meeting? Sometimes macOS can automatically switch the input source when you plug in an external mic or AirPods, even without an explicit input from you.
